As time goes by, I notice that we are taking bigger and bigger risks, yet we are becoming freer. Many of our thousands of supporters don't even know why things happen, how we do things, and where we are heading. I wanted this little blog to start so everyone can see what has been going on in the background for years and where we are going.
The truth is, we are not the best graphic designers, nor the most professional developers, we are not really good at anything that is a general professional thing. However, we are terribly hardworking, smart, well-organized, automated, and multifaceted.
The reason I am starting to write all this is intended more as a "what goes on behind the scenes" thing. We work in a very specific market and not much relevant professional experience is freely available in a followable format. Cause-and-effect relationships, business decisions, results, failures, profits, losses. By the way, my goal with this is not to help others, but it surely will.
If someone asked me now whether I would embark on this adventure again, I might say no. It is terribly uncomfortable being an entrepreneur many times, it is easy to sit back, do nothing, get comfortable and stay that way. And then we wonder, "oh no, the numbers aren't coming in, what should we do?" and then comes what is happening right now: 16-17 hours of work a day to get back on track. We screwed around and wasted a lot of time too. But now we are getting back up and showing what we can do. Or we simply go bankrupt. We'll see.
